Maine Event Comedy- No Cover!

Maine Event Comedy presents “New England’s Most Unique Comedian” Bill Picard at Island Dog Brewing, Saturday, May 4 at 8 p.m. The show will also feature Corey Saunders, Jed Bloom, Mike Gray, and Leonard Kimble.

Born with cerebral palsy and confined to a wheelchair, Picard has used his physical disability to educate and entertain. He’s performed throughout Maine and was a finalist in Portland’s Funniest Professional Contest. Refusing to let his condition slow him down, Picard earned a business degree at the University of Maine, owns several rental properties, and tours as a motivational speaker.

Saunders hails from Boston where his quick wit and crazy stories have him steadily climbing the comedy ladder. He’s a regular at the world famous Comedy Studio and ImprovBoston. He also produces and hosts his own talk show on Dirty Water TV.

Bloom, a mainstay in the Portland scene, is a husband, father, and school teacher. In his first competition, he reached the finals in Empire’s Comedy Summer Classic. His goal in comedy is to make audiences laugh a lot, think a little, not get fired from his day job.

Gray is living proof that a horrible childhood can turn into an equally horrible adulthood. He performs throughout New England and was a finalist in the 2017 Best Bar Comic Competition.

As charming as he is funny, Kimble has opened for internationally touring comedian Rich Vos and produces his own comedy workshop in Auburn.

The show is free and for ages 21-and-older. Island Dog Brewing is located at 125 John Roberts Road in South Portland, Unit 15 on the backside of the building. FMI text 207-513-0742 or email
