Maine Event Comedy presents Stand Up! Records recording artist Jay Chanoine at Island Dog Brewing, Saturday, Sep. 7 at 8 p.m. The show will also feature AJ Hapenny, Mike Gray, and Ed Waugh.

Described by AXS as “the funniest comedian you don’t know yet,” New Hampshire’s Chanoine honed his cynical perspective and sharp wit on stages throughout the country for the past nine years. He’s a regular on JT Habersaat’s Altercation Punk Comedy tour and recently recorded his second album “The Texas Chanoinesaw Massacre,” which will soon be released on the Stand Up! Records label. His debut album “Come On Feel Chanoine” was released in 2015 and captured his passion for pop culture minutiae, married life, and dairy products. Chanoine enjoys cheeseburgers, Junior Mints, and a handful of people.

Hapenny has a unique style which combines witty wordplay with audience interaction. He was recently featured at the Salem and Lincoln Comedy Festivals and has worked with comedy legends Jim Breuer, Jeff Ross, and Lenny Clarke.

Gray is living proof that a horrible childhood can turn into an equally horrible adulthood. He performs throughout New England and was a finalist in the 2017 Best Bar Comic Competition.

The show is free and for ages 21-and-older. Island Dog Brewing is located at 125 John Roberts Road in South Portland, Unit 15 on the backside of the building. FMI text 207-513-0742 or email maineeventcomedy@gmail.com.
